During the campaign for Parliamentary elections 2005 Roma kept being one of the most "courted" and manipulated groups. Nothing new: the situation was not different during the previous campaigns (both parliamentary and local). These elections however showed a new specific of the "Roma vote". And the parties would have to take it into consideration from now on. Roma are already inclined to have a united vote in favor of their own formal and informal local leaders. A new consolidates ethnic electorate is being formed. The major obstacle in front of its complete establishment is the political immaturity of the same local leaders and their inability to turn the thousands of Roma votes into Roma deputy seats.
